Hello, my name is Shannon Miller, owner of Sound Extremes Mobile DJ. In case you would like to know a little about your DJ, here it is. I was born and raised in Monroe, about 30 miles southeast of Des Moines. My interest in audio came to be in 1992 as a sophomore at PCM High School here in Monroe. I heard a vehicle come into our school parking lot "booming" its bass and I knew I just had to have something like it. From that time through 2003, I just had to have the best audio system in my car.  Upon graduating high school, I went to Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, receiving my first degree in Electronics/Computer Systems and then a second in Robotics/Automated System Technology through which I gained an immense knowledge of how sound systems work down to their most basic components. But in an effort to make the world a better place, I never used either degree, as my passion has always been audio.  Combined with the fact that I have a people-oriented personality, in 1997 I began Sound Extremes as a home-based, high-end car audio business mainly to get my own equipment at wholesale prices and I realized later that year that my passion for audio didn’t have to end in people’s vehicles, and thus the humble beginning or Sound Extremes Mobile DJ. I started small, not knowing much about pro audio equipment or even weddings, but through the years, and much research as well as trial and error,  I have expanded my knowledge as well as the DJ system again and again so as to have not only the best car audio system in the state, but also the best mobile DJ system in the state. We implement only concert quality speakers and amplifiers costing hundreds or thousands of dollars more than traditional PA equipment and have finally settled on a system that exceeds any we've heard elsewhere.  Over the years, the only thing that hasn’t changed in either the car audio or DJ business is the fact that we still try to make everything as affordable as possible while offering a superior end product.  As of May 2008, I quit my job and now DJ full time, we offer 3 full mobile units and are available 24/7 to help you with your special event(s).
